About

Hi, I'm Jessica.

I’m a professional photographer, graphic designer & entrepreneur.

For the past 10 years, I have been making my full-time income selling on Etsy. I left my first 9 to 5 as a substitute teacher after a mental breakdown. I decided there wasn’t a job worth the stress and I haven’t looked back.

Today, I can say that I’ve earned well over 1 million dollars being an entrepreneur. And I absolutely believe that If I can do it, so can you.

I believe entrepreneurs deserve access to great design, no matter your budget or timeline.  But what startup has the money to hire a designer when there are a thousand other things on your plate?

So I started this business to help entrepreneurs look good on a budget.

Maybe you’re here because you’re looking for a media kit to help you reach out to companies for sponsorships.  Maybe you’re here because you’d like to level up your photoshop skills so you can take control of your visuals. Maybe you need a line sheet t help you break into selling wholesale.

Whatever reason brought you to my corner of the world, thanks for stopping by!

Do you know the most important elements of running a successful business?

Know

Before you can even think about selling to someone, they first need to know you exist. You need to be on their radar.

Seems straightforward, but for many entrepreneurs, getting visible is one of their biggest challenges.

Like

OK. Now they know you exist. But do they like you?

The goal is NOT to get everyone to like you. If everyone likes you, then you’re trying to market to everyone – which is basically like marketing to no one.

Don’t try to serve everyone. Be specific in who you want to help.

Trust

People buy from people they trust.

One big way to build trust is through consistent branding.

If your website is uber-conservative, but in person you have purple hair, tattooos and you drop occassional f-bombs, people are going to say, “WTF? This doesn’t make sense – I don’t trust this.”

So how do you create in your business?

Have a Consistent Message

Your brand message should be in line with your actions & behavior. If it isn’t true to who you are, or you can’t deliver on it, you will appear flaky and untrustworthy. Always be honest and transparent. If your product isn’t right for a customer, be brave enough to say so.

Be Accessible.

Interact with your customers so they get a sense of you as a person. Creating content on a reliable schedule. Are your weekly newsletters actually weekly? Did you say you would put up a video every week and then don’t? If you don’t show up when you say you will, how can I trust you will do better if I pay  you?

Consistent Branding & Design.

Appearances matter. When your business looks like you invested time and money into the design and branding it shows your audience you are serious.  It shows  you care about your business. You are here to provide an awesome product and a great customer experience.

Branding matters even if you are working out of your dining room after the kids are asleep.

Have consistent imagery, colors and feel on all your platforms – in your logo, website, social networks and print materials is an easy win that can help you build trust with customers.

"If you’re your authentic self, you have no competition.”
